The National Library Board (NLB) will be presenting From the Stacks: Highlights of the National Library, a major exhibition with rare artefacts from Singapore’s history. The exhibition showcases over 100 items from the 18th and 19th centuries, including gems like handwritten letters from Sir Stamford Raffles, the first newspaper and one of the earliest dated Qur’ans published in Singapore.

The official opening of the exhibition will be on 29th January, and the exhibition itself will continue from Saturday 30th January to Sunday 28th August 2016.  

With a wide variety of exhibits showcasing the different aspects of Singapore’s history through the perspectives of our forefathers, there is something for everyone at the National Library Building. So come on down to the National Library Building and uncover the many historical and cultural gems that we unearthed ‘From the Stacks’!
